The aviangenomes.org web site is supported by the collective research efforts of many groups, including those listed below. The web site framework is being provided by the lab of Dr. Erich Jarvis, and was created using Drupal for the specific purpose of enabling multiple laboratories to contribute their research findings in concert.
There are numerous existing web sites providing information critical to the ongoing research of avian species, avian brain biology, and specific neurobiological links from avian to mammalian species. The focus of this web site is on the genome and transcriptome of avian species, the inferred gene networks involved in avian biology, and the integration of multiple disparate data resources to provide a cohesive research workspace.
