Jarvis lab cross-species microarray data
Summary
This page is intended solely for the Jarvis lab to download analysis datasets for the cross-species microarray expression experiments. The project is named "Cross-Species-2010" in the following files.
File Descriptions
Normalized data files
These files provide expression values after normalization by Scale Factor normalization. The values are normal-space, not log2, but should be plotted on a log2 scale (or converted to log2 before plotting.)
Genomic organization and molecular phylogenies of the beta (beta) keratin multigene family in the chicken (Gallus gallus) and zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata): implications for feather evolution.

Collection of updates -- Pubmed and biblio; Gbrowse tracks; menu links
We have been pushing a number of efforts in parallel, and many of them are reaching milestones at the same time. Thus there are several updates that we hope will make the overall site more usable and useful to the avian research scientist.

Genome Browser "new developments"
A Zebra Finch "new developments" view has been created. This view will be used to show new features that are in testing and not completely ready for "production use."

OpenID
What is openID?
OpenID is a web authentication scheme meant to make it easier for the user (you) to sign in to multiple web sites without having to keep track of 100 usernames and passwords. It also serves to verify your consistent identity on the web. It actually doesn't verify who you are, but it does verify that a certain account owner on one web site is the same account owner on another web site (since both web sites will have the same openID.)
